Luke Nuttall (Paralympic Athlete)
Luke Nuttall (born 17 September 2001) is a British Paralympic athlete who competes in the 1500m in the T46 classification. Athletics career Nuttall is based in Charnwood, and began his career competing in county and national-level events. He is coached by his mother, Alison Wyeth. By 2018, he had been selected for GB Paralympics, where aged 17 he won silver in the 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships, finishing second to Bulgaria's Hristiyan Stoyanov. In 2020, he claimed bronze in the 2021 European Para Athletics Championships in Bydgoszcz with a seven-second personal best. Later that summer, he was selected to represent Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in the T46 1500m. Personal life Nuttall was born in Preston, Lancashire. John Barry Nuttall (born 11 January 1967) is a male British former long-distance runner who competed in track and cross country running. He competed for Great Britain at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He also represented his country twice at the World Championships in Athletics (1993, 1995) and five times at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Eilish McColgan (born 25 November 1990) is a Scottish middle- and long-distance runner. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games 10,000 metres champion with the Games record, and 5000 metres silver medallist. McColgan is a four-time European Championships medallist, winning silver medals for the 5000 m in 2018 and 10,000 m in 2022, bronze in the 5000 m in 2022, and a bronze for the indoor 3000 metres in 2017. She is the European record holder for the 10 km road race, and the British record holder for the 5000 m, 10,000 m, 5 km and half marathon. Elizabeth Nuttall (née Lynch, formerly McColgan; born 24 May 1964) is a Scottish former middle-distance and long-distance track and road-running athlete. She won the gold medal for the 10,000 metres at the 1991 World Championships, and a silver medal over the same distance at the 1988 Olympic Games. She was also a two-time gold medallist over the distance at the Commonwealth Games, as well as winning the 1992 World Half Marathon Championships, 1991 New York City Marathon, 1992 Tokyo Marathon and 1996 London Marathon. Hannah Nuttall (born 7 July 1997) is a British athlete. She competes in middle-distance and cross-country running events. Early life Nuttall ran as a youngster for Charnwood Athletics club. Nuttall attended Loughborough College and had her first experience of representing Britain at the 2015 junior World Cross Country Championships held in Guiyang, China. A qualified nutritionist, she attended the University of New Mexico, and completed a master's degree at Loughborough University. Career In 2021 she won the mixed relay at the 2021 European Cross Country Championships held in Dublin. Shortly afterwards she began to be coached by Helen Clitheroe when she joined Team New Balance Manchester.
