Luke Handley
Luke Handley is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', played by Bernard Curry. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 7 March 1995. Luke's storylines included a brief fling with Libby Kennedy, a relationship with Serendipity Gottlieb, suffering a breakdown, being diagnosed with cancer and starting a relationship with Danni Stark. He departed on 17 December 1996, but Curry reprised the role in 2005 for the 20th anniversary. Casting In 1995, Curry was told his contract was not being renewed and his character was written out. However, the producers asked Curry to return seven weeks later and he accepted. In August 1996, it was announced that Curry had quit ''Neighbours'' for good. Curry said "I'm moving on because I just think I'd like to challenge myself further. I've got some big storylines coming up, but then I'll be leaving." He finished filming in October. Bernard Curry (born 27 March 1974) is an Australian actor, best known for his role as Jake Stewart in Wentworth, Luke Handley in Neighbours and Hugo Austin in Home and Away. Career Curry first appeared in ''Neighbours'' in 1995 as Luke Handley, and remained on the television series for just over a year. He later returned to the show in a video cameo appearance in 2005 for the programme's 20th anniversary. Curry was a co-writer and actor on the 2002 ABC sketch comedy series ''Flipside''. Alyce Mary A Platt (born 19 December 1963) is an Australian actress and singer. As an actress, she had roles in the TV soap operas '' Sons and Daughters'' and '' Neighbours'', and worked as a TV presenter and game show host, including on ''Sale of the Century'' from 1986 to 1991. Joanna Evans (also Hartman) is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', played by Emma Harrison. Joanna was introduced as the younger half-sister of established character, Annalise Hartman ( Kimberley Davies). She made her first on screen appearance on 26 May 1995. Eliza Szonert (born 29 January 1974) is an Australian actress. Born in Victoria, Australia, Szonert played Danni Stark in Australia's long-running soap opera ''Neighbours'' from 1993 to 1996. Cody Willis is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera '' Neighbours'', originally played by Amelia Frid. She made her first on-screen appearance on 24 November 1989.
