Luke Gazdic
Luke Gazdic (born July 25, 1989) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger. Gazdic was selected 172nd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. He played for the Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils during his National Hockey League (NHL) career. Gazdic mainly played as an enforcer. Playing career On September 29, 2013, Gazdic was claimed on waivers by the Edmonton Oilers from the Dallas Stars. Playing on opening night of the 2013–14 NHL season, Gazdic made his NHL debut on October 1, 2013, and scored his first NHL goal at 2:21 of the first period past Winnipeg Jets' goalie Ondrej Pavelec, to record the first goal of the 2013–14 Edmonton Oilers season. He made eight points in his time with the Oilers, playing as an enforcer with a fierce reputation. The Calgary Flames are a professional ice hockey team based in Calgary. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Buffalo Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres are a professional ice hockey team based in Buffalo, New York. The Sabres compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. 1978 NHL Amateur Draft
The 1978 NHL Amateur Draft was the 16th NHL Entry Draft. It was hosted at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Quebec, on June 15, 1978. Benjamin Gazdic (born August 11, 1987, Toronto) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defender currently playing with KHL Medveščak in the Austrian Hockey League. Gazdic was born to a family of Croatian descent. He holds both Canadian and Croatian passport. His father Mike and brothers Mark and Luke are or were also professional ice hockey players. The San Diego Gulls are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) that began play in the 2015–16 season.
