Luke Bateman (born 23 January 1995) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a and forward for the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls in the Intrust Super Cup. He previously played for the Canberra Raiders. Background Bateman was born in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. The National Rugby League (NRL) is an Australasian rugby league club competition which contains clubs from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand. Newtown Jets
The Newtown Jets are an Australian rugby league football club based in Newtown, a suburb of Sydney's inner west. They currently compete in the NSW Cup competition, having left the top grade after the 1983 NSWRFL season.
