Luke Adams (basketball)
Luke Adams is an American former basketball player. He played college basketball for the Lamar Cardinals from 1969 to 1971. Adams was from LaBelle, Florida. He led the Cardinals in points and rebounds during the two seasons he played. Adams was named as the Southland Player of the Year alongside Allan Pruett of the Arkansas State Red Wolves in 1971. He was a two-time selection to the All- Southland team. Adams was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 132nd overall pick in the 1971 NBA draft. He was also chosen by the Carolina Cougars in the 1971 American Basketball Association (ABA) draft. Luke Anthony Adams (born 8 May 1994) is a New Zealand international footballer who plays as a defender. Career In 2012, Adams joined the English club Derby County F.C. on a one-year contract. In 2013, Adams signed a one-year contract with Wellington Phoenix. In May 2014, Adams was called into the All Whites squad for a 30 May friendly in Auckland against South Africa by interim coach Neil Emblen. In September 2014, Adams returned to Waitakere United. Luke Adams Pottery
Luke Adams Pottery was a decorative ceramics manufacturer in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was set up in 1881 by Luke Adams, an emigrant from England. The business closed in the 1965 and was the longest-operating pottery in New Zealand. History Luke Adams (1838–1918) migrated to Christchurch from England with his family in 1873. A trained potter, he initially accepted a position with a brickworks in Christchurch but, by 1875, he had moved to another company and returned to making domestic ware. In 1881 this company closed their pottery making section and Adams invested in setting up his own business. He purchased the surplus moulds and plant and, with the help of his eldest three sons, he set up Luke Adams Pottery Limited. After several moves the company and the Adams family settled on a site in Colombo Street, Sydenham, Christchurch, where the company was to remain until the business was sold in 1965. Luke Adam (born June 18, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently playing with the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets. Adam was drafted by Buffalo in the second round, 44th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Adam began his major junior hockey career with the St. John's Fog Devils of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
