	Luk (band) Luk (stylised as Lюk) was a Ukraine, Ukrainian music band from Kharkiv. The band's style joins acid jazz, Lounge music, lounge and rock music, rock. In their texts musicians used mostly Ukrainian, Russian and French. Luk was formed in 1999. The name was given accidentally without special meaning (''люк'' means ''manhole''). After released four studio albums Luk declared its break up in 2011. Luk collaborated with Kharkiv-based Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan. Most of their Ukrainian-language songs were witten in lyrics of Zhadan (in particular the first album ''Tourist zone'' is based on Zhadan's play "Merry Christmas, Jesus Christ"). Also Luk recorded a lot of songs with 5'Nizza member Andriy Zaporozhets (in particular the second album is a result of collaboration with Zaporozhets). picture info	Serhiy Zhadan Serhiy Viktorovych Zhadan ( uk, Сергі́й Ві́кторович Жада́н; born 23 August 1974 in Starobilsk, Luhansk oblast, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian poet, novelist, essayist, musician, translator, and social activist. Life and career Zhadan was born in Starobilsk, Luhansk Oblast in Ukraine. He graduated from H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University in 1996 with a thesis on the work of Mykhaylo Semenko and the Ukrainian Futurist writers of the 1920s. He then spent three years as a graduate student of philology, and taught Ukrainian and world literature from 2000 to 2004. Since then he has worked as a freelance writer. Starting his career in 1990, his verses revolutionized Ukrainian poetry: they were less sentimental, reviving the style of 1920s Ukrainian avant-garde writers like Semenko or Johanssen. 	Serhiy Babkin Sergius is a male given name of Ancient Roman origin after the name of the Latin ''gens'' Sergia or Sergii of regal and republican ages. It is a common Christian name, in honor of Saint Sergius, or in Russia, of Saint Sergius of Radonezh, and has been the name of four popes.
