Luis Otero (footballer)
Luis Otero Sánchez-Encinas (22 October 1893 – 20 January 1955) was a Spanish footballer who played as a defender and who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics, being a member of the Spanish team that won the silver medal at the tournament. Otero is recognized as one of the most outstanding Galician footballers in history. He was part of the first teams of both Celta de Vigo and the Spanish team, and along with Moncho Gil, he is the first Galician Olympic medalist. In his memory, the Luis Otero Trophy has been held in Pontevedra since 1959. Club career Born in Pontevedra, he began playing football at the age of 16 at his hometown club, Pontevedra Sporting Club in 1909, and two years later he moved to Real Vigo Sporting. Ramón González (footballer, Born 1898)
Ramón González Figueroa (16 February 1898 – 4 November 1977) was a Spanish footballer who played as a centre forward. He was a member of the Spanish squad that competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics, but did not make any appearances. Club career Born in Vigo, Galicia, he began playing football at his hometown club Deportivo Fabril in 1914, the same year the club was created. At Fabril he stood out for his goal-scoring instinct, which earned him a move to Real Club Coruña in 1917. After one season he joined Real Vigo Sporting in 1918, where he was pivotal in Sporting's back-to-back Galician Championship titles in 1918–19 and 1919–20, and one more in 1922–23. He remained with the club until 1923, when Sporting was merged with Fortuna de Vigo to form Celta de Vigo. José Chiarroni
José Chiarroni Pazos (6 January 1898 - 10 March 1944) was a Spanish footballer of the 1920s who played as a center-forward. Club career Born in Vigo, Galicia, he began playing football at his hometown club Real Vigo Sporting in 1914, and he helped Sporting to win five Galician Championships in 1913-14, 1916-17, 1918-19, 1919-20 and 1922-23. He remained there until Sporting was merged with Fortuna de Vigo in 1923, to form Celta de Vigo. The Celta presentation match was held on 14 September 1923 between an A and a B team formed with the players from the club, taking advantage of the large team available that they had, however, both Chiarroni and Ramón González were absent from it. The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa and formerly known as Copa del Presidente de la República (1932–36) and Copa del Generalísimo (1939–76), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
