Luís Alberto Pérez (born April 6, 1978) is a Nicaraguan former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2014. He is a former two weight world champion, having held the IBF super flyweight title from 2003 to 2006, and the IBF bantamweight title in 2007. He also challenged for the WBA super bantamweight interim title in 2008. Super flyweight, also referred to as junior bantamweight, is a boxing weight classes, weight class in professional boxing, contested from and up to . History The first title match in this division was in 1980, when the World Boxing Council responded to pressure from Asian and Latin American members who felt the difference between the flyweight limit and the bantamweight limit was too significant. Masaya
Masaya () is the capital city of Masaya Department in Nicaragua. It is situated approximately 14 km west of Granada and 31 km southeast of Managua. It is located just east of the Masaya Volcano, an active volcano from which the city takes its name. Dimitri Kirilov (russian: Дмитрий Дмитриевич Кириллов) (born November 24, 1978 in Leningrad, Soviet Union ) is a Russian professional boxer. Nicknamed "The Baby", he was former IBF super flyweight champion. He has a record of 31-7-1, with 10 wins by knockout. Total Mortgage Arena (formerly The Arena at Harbor Yard and Webster Bank Arena) is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena in downtown Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States. It is the home venue of the New York Islanders' AHL farm team, the Bridgeport Islanders. Managed by the Oak View Group, the arena was built alongside the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater and opened on October 10, 2001. Webster Bank entered into a 10-year $3.5 million agreement on January 6, 2011 with the City of Bridgeport for the arena naming rights. Genaro García (September 17, 1977 in Chihuahua, Mexico – June 21, 2013) was a professional boxer in the super flyweight and bantamweight divisions from 1994 to 2013, holding the World Boxing Council Fecombox regional bantamweight title from 2003 to 2007. Known by his nickname 'Poblanito', Garcia fought for world titles against Samson Dutch Boy Gym (WBF), Hozumi Hasagawa (WBC), and Luis Alberto Perez (IBF) during his career. His career record was 39 wins and 10 losses with 23 knockouts, including a seventh round knockout over Eduardo Garcia (no relation), a fighter with a winning record, in his final ring appearance in December 2012.
