Rund Um Köln
The Rund um Köln is a classic cycling race around the German city of Cologne. Since 2005 it is part of the UCI Europe Tour, being organised as 1.1 race (in 2007 the race was categorised as 1.HC). It is one of the oldest cycling races still running in Germany – where media-driven hostility towards professional cycling in the wake of repeated doping scandals has severely weakened the economic structure and viability of the sport. The Rund um Köln is the second-oldest race in Germany, just after Rund um die Hainleite, which was first held in 1908. Between the 1930s and late 1980s Rund um Köln was held as an amateur race. UCI Road World Championships – Junior Men's Road Race
UCI Road World Championships – Men's junior road race is the annual UCI Road World Championships, world championship race for road bicycle racing for men in the Junior category. It is organised by the world governing body, the Union Cycliste Internationale. In the period 2005–2009 this event was part of the UCI Juniors World Championships, then the UCI Juniors Road World Championships in 2010. In 2020 no junior race was held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The winner of the event is entitled to wear the rainbow jersey in Junior competitions for one year. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time.
