Luigi Spagnolli (born 10 February 1960) is an Italian politician. He is a member of the Democratic Party and served as Mayor of Bolzano for three terms from 2005 to 2015. The current Mayor is Renzo Caramaschi, elected in May 2016. Overview According to the Italian Constitution, the Mayor of Bolzano is member of the City Council. The Mayor is elected by the population of Bolzano, who also elects the members of the City Council, controlling the Mayor's policy guidelines and is able to enforce his resignation by a motion of no confidence.
