Luigi Scotti
Luigi Scotti (born 14 January 1932) is an Italian former magistrate, politician and jurist. Between 6 February 2008 and 8 May 2008 he was Minister of Justice in Romano Prodi's government. Biography Academic career Graduated in law with honors from the University of Naples, Scotti benefited from one of the five scholarships for the best graduates in the academic year with the adjoining role of volunteer assistant. In 1965 he passed the competition for ordinary assistant and in 1967 he obtained free teaching in Navigation Law. In 1969 he was appointed professor at the Faculty of Economics and Commerce of the University of Naples. In 1971 he became professor in charge and stabilized and in 1986 he passed the competition for ordinary professor but did not exercise this profession intending to remain in the judiciary. Oliviero Diliberto
Oliviero Diliberto (born 13 October 1956 in Cagliari) is an Italian politician. He has been leader of the Party of Italian Communists. Early life Oliviero Diliberto was born in a family of public servants (his father Marco was employed as attorney in the Administration of the Region of Sardinia, his mother Lella was a teacher). His youth is scarred by the untimely death of his father in 1971, after which he had to be a fatherly role for his younger siblings: his sister Ludovica, then eight years old, and his brother Alessio, who was born just two months before. Diliberto becomes involved with politics in 1969 at age 13, when he was in high school. It is a time of turmoil in Italian schools, and young Oliviero quickly rises through the ranks of the student movement during his University studies. A jurist is a person with expert knowledge of law; someone who analyses and comments on law. This person is usually a specialist legal scholar, mostly (but not always) with a formal qualification in law and often a legal practitioner. Rosa Russo Iervolino (born Rosa Jervolino; born 17 September 1936) is an Italian politician. Biography Iervolino was born to Angelo Raffaele Jervolino (1890–1985) and Maria De Unterrichter (1902–1975), a native of Trentino, on 17 September 1936. Her parents were both Christian Democracy parliamentarians. Her uncle was Südtiroler Volkspartei senator Guido De Unterrichter (1903–1979). She would go on to get a degree in law and begin practicing as a lawyer. The philosopher and politician Domenico Jervolino (1946–2018) was her cousin. She married Vincenzo Russo on 26 October 1964. Aldo Moro was her witness. They had three children (Michele, Maria Cristina and Francesca). Her husband died before her fiftieth birthday. Mario Clemente Mastella (born 5 February 1947) is an Italian politician who has served as the mayor of Benevento since 20 June 2016. He is the leader of Union of Democrats for Europe, a minor centrist Italian party. Romano Antonio Prodi (; born 9 August 1939) is an Italian politician, economist, academic, senior civil servant, and business executive who served as the tenth president of the European Commission from 1999 to 2004. The second Prodi government was the cabinet of the government of Italy from 17 May 2006 to 8 May 2008, a total of 722 days, or 1 year, 11 months and 21 days. Calitri ( la, Caletrium or ; Irpino: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Avellino, Campania, Italy. Overview Calitri is in Campania near the borders of the regions of Apulia and Basilicata. It is approximately above sea level so on even on the hottest day there is generally a breeze. The Antico Borgo is in the oldest section of the town, the centro storico, at the top of which are the remains of a castle which predates the 12th century. The Borgo itself is a labyrinth of historic houses which have, over the centuries, been built into the hillside. Stone and marble stairs, frequently under old stone arches, connect the streets. Calitri suffered a devastating 1980 Irpinia earthquake, earthquake in 1980 and has only been partially rebuilt. The Castello at the top of its distinctive cone shaped hilltop is very impressive for its strong architectural forms.
