Luidjino Hoyer
Luidjino Martir Hojer (born 5 February 1988) known as Luidjino Hoyer, is a Curaçaoan footballer who plays as a midfielder for Magreb '90 in the Dutch Topklasse and for the Curaçao national team. Club career Born in Santa Rosa, Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles, Hoyer began his career with S.V. Victory Boys in the Sekshon Pagá, the highest level of football in Curaçao. He parted with the club after six seasons, playing for RKSV Centro Dominguito, whom he helped to their fourth national championship in 2015 winning the FKK Player of the Year award in the process. He then relocated to the Netherlands, signing with V.V. Magreb '90, competing in the Topklasse, the third tier of professional football in the Netherlands. Santa Rosa, Curaçao
Santa Rosa is a town on the island of Curaçao in the former Netherlands Antilles. It is to the east of the capital, Willemstad, located inland from the east coast, to the south of Santa Catarina, and is connected to the eastern coastline via a canal. To the southwest lies the settlement of Bapor Kibra, and to the southeast lies Nieuwpoort. The settlement of Santa Maria lies to the northwest. Overview The area to the east of Willemstad was mainly settled by free and freed slaves. The area surrounding Santa Rosa contained 61 gardens owned by freed slaves, and 55 small plantations. The church of Santa Rosa was founded in 1839 by the Roman Catholic Church in order to educate and convert the former slave population. In 1885, an orphanage was built in the town. It is a breeding ground for frigate birds, and is also the site of the CurAloe (Ecocity) plantation, a large Aloe vera plantation which offers daily tours to visitors. 2014 Caribbean Cup
The 2014 Caribbean Cup was the 18th edition of the Caribbean Cup, an international football competition for national teams of member nations affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) of the CONCACAF region. The final competition stage (8 teams) was scheduled for 11–18 November. On 18 March 2014, it was announced that Jamaica would host the final stage. For the first time, the competition and its qualifying stages were scheduled to take place during officially sanctioned FIFA international match periods.
