Lugait
Lugait, officially the Municipality of Lugait ( ceb, Lungsod sa Lugait; tl, Bayan ng Lugait), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 20,559 people. It is also spelled as Luga-it. History Lugait was once one of the barrios of Initao, Misamis Oriental until 1948. When the town of Manticao became a separate municipality from Initao, Lugait became its biggest barrio with the biggest population and revenue contribution. March 16, 1961 marked the autonomy of Lugait from its mother municipality when then President Carlos P. Garcia signed and announced Executive Order No. 425 that created the Municipality of Lugait in the province of Misamis Oriental. Misamis Oriental ( ceb, Sidlakang Misamis; tl, Silangang Misamis), officially the Province of Misamis Oriental, is a province located in the region of Northern Mindanao in the Philippines. Its capital, largest city and provincial center is the city of Cagayan de Oro, which is governed independently from the province. Iligan Bay
Iligan Bay is a bay in Mindanao, Mindanao Island in the Philippines. The bay is part of the Bohol Sea, and curves into the northern coast of Mindanao Island. A branch of the bay, Panguil Bay, forms a natural isthmus with Illana Bay and geographic boundary between the Zamboanga Peninsula (geographical region), Zamboanga Peninsula and the rest of Mindanao island.
