Ludovic Garreau
Ludovic Garreau (born 21 February 1983) is a French former professional ice hockey player. He is currently head coach of the Scorpions de Mulhouse under-22 team. Career Garreau began his senior career with FFHG Division 1 team Aigles de Nice in 2002. He moved to Rapaces de Gap of the Ligue Magnus for 2003 and 2004 before departing for Sweden's Division 2 in 2005. He played one season with Vimmerby IK and another with Grästorps IK before returning to France and the Lyon Hockey Club for 2007. While he never played for a championship winning team, Garreau twice played with teams finishing in second place: the junior Anglet Hormadi team in 2001 and the Lyon Hockey Club FFHG Division 2 team of 2007. In 2009, he joined Castors d'Avignon of Division 1,as captain and coach(started from the 6th match againsted with Deuil-Garges) at season 2010, he helped Avignon club echeloned successfully finally. Defenceman
Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from Goal (ice hockey), scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). FFHG Division 2 (Fédération Française de Hockey sur Glace Division 2 or French Ice Hockey Federation Division 2) is an amateur ice hockey league in France. It is the third of four levels of national ice hockey in France. The teams that end at the bottom of the table get relegated to FFHG Division 3 while the top get promoted to FFHG Division 1. Vimmerby () is a city and the seat of Vimmerby Municipality, Kalmar County, Sweden with 10,934 inhabitants in 2010. Overview Stångån is a small river running through the city. Ligue Magnus
The Ligue Magnus, currently known as Synerglace Ligue Magnus for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's division of the French ice hockey pyramid, established in 1906. The league operated under a variety of names before taking that of its championship trophy, the Magnus Cup, in 2004. The trophy was in turn named for Frenchman and IIHF founder Louis Magnus. Format 12 teams play a 44-game regular season. The schedule is fully balanced and there are no geographic conferences. Regulation wins are worth 3 points, as per international rules. The top 8 teams qualify for the Magnus Cup playoffs, with all series contested in a best-of-seven format.
