Adrian J. Luckman is a British glaciologist and professor of geography at Swansea University in Wales. He is a lead researcher for Project Midas, which monitored the Larsen C iceberg and the Larsen Ice Shelf. William Arthur Grant Luckman (25 June 1857 – 8 January 1921) was Archdeacon of Calcutta from 1907 to 1911. Luckman was educated at Keble College, Oxford and ordained in 1881. Charles Luckman
Charles Luckman (May 16, 1909 – January 26, 1999) was an American businessman, property developer, and architect known for designing landmark buildings in the United States such as the Theme Building, Prudential Tower, Madison Square Garden, and The Forum. He was named the "Boy Wonder of American Business" by Time magazine when president of the Pepsodent toothpaste company in 1939. Through acquisition, he later became president of Lever Brothers. Luckman would later collaborate with William Pereira, in which the two would form their architectural firm, Pereira & Luckman, in 1950. Pereira & Luckman would later dissolve by 1958, parting ways for both himself and Pereira. Luckman would continue successfully with his own firm, Charles Luckman Associates. Paul Luckman
On 4 May 1982, Australian Army personnel Robin Reid and Nicole Louise Pearce (birth name Paul Wayne Luckman) kidnapped teenage boys Peter Aston and Terry Ryan on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Reid and Pearce then drove the boys at gun and knife point to Kingscliff, New South Wales, where they were beaten, tortured, and sexually assaulted before Aston was ultimately murdered. Kidnapping and murder Peter Aston and Terry Ryan were hitchhiking on the Gold Coast Highway and were picked up by Reid and Pearce, who offered to give the boys a lift down the coast. Not long on the road, the two boys were threatened at knife and gunpoint by the two perpetrators, who then drove the car over the Queensland/New South Wales border, into the beach-side town of Kingscliff, where they forced the two boys out of the car and down a secluded beach track.
