Lucie Breyne (born 5 October 2000) is a Belgian field hockey player, who plays as a defender. Career Club hockey In the Belgian Hockey League, Breyne plays club hockey for the Waterloo Ducks. National teams Under–18 In 2018, Lucie Breyne was a member of the Belgium U–18 team at the EuroHockey Youth Championship in Santander. At the tournament, Belgium finished in second place, taking home silver. Under–21 Following her debut for the Under–18 side in 2018, Breyne appeared in the national Under–21 side in 2019. She represented the team at the EuroHockey Junior Championship in Valencia. The team finished fourth, qualifying for the 2021 FIH Junior World Cup. The 2019 Women's FIH Pro League was the first season of the Pro League, the premier women's field hockey national team league series. The tournament started in January 2019 finished in June 2019 in Amstelveen, Netherlands. The United States women's national field hockey team, represents the United States in international field hockey. The team is currently coached by Anthony Farry. It made its first international appearance in 1920 when a touring team visited England, coached by Constance M.K. Applebee. The 2022 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup is the ninth edition of the Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, the biennial women's under-21 field hockey world championship organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was scheduled to be held from 5 to 16 December 2021 in Potchefstroom, South Africa. Because of a new COVID-19 variant, the tournament was put on hold on 26 November 2021 and later postponed, with the option to be hosted by South Africa. On 10 January 2022 it was announced the tournament will take place from 2 to 13 April 2022 at the original venue.
