Luciano Pereira Mendes (born 15 October 1983), also known as Chimba, is a Brazil, Brazilian professional association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker for Persian Gulf Pro League club Foolad F.C., Foolad. Club career Foolad After spending the previous season at Clube Atlético Linense, Chimba transferred to Foolad F.C., Foolad in the Iranian Premier League in summer 2012. In the 2013–14 Iran Pro League, 2013–14 Iran Pro League season, he helped Foolad win the championship by scoring nine league goals. He also scored six goals in the 2014 AFC Champions League. Sepahan On 3 July 2014, Chimba agreed on a two-year contract with Sepahan F.C., Sepahan for $2 million. He officially signed his contract on 4 July and was presented to the fans. Foolad Khuzestan Football Club ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال فولاد خوزستان, ''Bāshgāh-e Futbāl-e Fulād-e Khuzestān'') is an Iranian football club, based in Ahwaz, Khuzestan that plays in Persian Gulf Pro League. Foolad F.C. was founded in 1971 and is owned by Foolad Khuzestan Company. The club has won Iran Pro League twice, including a championship in the lower division, Azadegan League. In the 2004–05 season, Foolad became the champion of the fourth newly founded Iran Pro League (IPL), gaining a total of 64 points over 30 league matches that is the highest point for a leader since 2001. After several successful seasons and what at one point seemed to be the emergence of a new pole in Iranian football, Foolad lost many of its key players through transfers and internal problems and also displayed a poor performance in the 2006 AFC Champions League.
