The Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf. L "''Luchs''" (German for lynx) is a German light tank from the Second World War, developed between 1940 and 1942 by Daimler-Benz and MAN. The ''Luchs'' was the only Panzer II design with the ''Schachtellaufwerk'' overlapping/interleaved road wheels and "slack track" configuration to enter series production, with 100 being built from September 1943 to January 1944 in addition to the conversion of the four Ausf. M tanks. Originally given the experimental designation VK 13.03, it was adopted under the alternate name ''Panzerspähwagen'' II and given the popular name ''Luchs''. The Luchs was larger than the Panzer II Ausf. G in most dimensions. With a six speed transmission (plus reverse), it could reach a speed of with a range of . The Spähpanzer Luchs (English: Scout Armored Car "Lynx") is a German 8x8 amphibious reconnaissance armoured fighting vehicle (''Spähpanzer'') that was in service from 1975 to 2009 with the German Army, who used 408 in their armoured reconnaissance battalions. It was developed by Daimler-Benz between 1968 and 1975, replacing the M41 and the Schützenpanzer SPz 11-2 Kurz. Design The all-wheel drive Luchs made by Thyssen-Henschel (now: Rheinmetall) is well armoured, has an NBC protection system and is characterized by its low-noise running. ''Luchs'' was the fourth of six Type 24 torpedo boats built for the German Navy (initially called the ''Reichsmarine'' and then renamed as the ''Kriegsmarine'' in 1935) during the 1920s. Ernst Luchs
Karl Johann Nepomuk Ernst Luchs (3 September 1811 – 3 January 1886) was a German physician in the Silesian spa town of Bad Warmbrunn. He was also a naturalist, aviculturist, and collector of natural history specimens. Two species of birds were named in his honour. Luchs was born in Warmbrunn, now Cieplice Śląskie-Zdrój. He studied medicine at the University of Breslau with a dissertation ''De sphygmologia'' (1836) and worked as a spa doctor at Warmbrunn throughout the rest of his life. He was a keen aviculturist and also made a collection of bird skins which he sold in 1878 to Ludwig Graf von Schaffgotsch (1842–1891). is a Japanese anime television series produced by Studio Junio. aired on TV Tokyo from October 1, 1996 to March 25, 1997. It is the first installment of the ''Saber Marionette'' franchise. The show was localized in North America by Ocean Productions and into six other languages by various companies. In between production, ''Saber Marionette J'' spun off into other media. A manga serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Dragon Age magazine ran from October 1996 to November 1999, and was collected into five volumes. A concurrent radio drama was broadcast and the show's original soundtrack was published by Kings Records.
