Luca Lombardi (footballer)
Luca Lombardi (born 6 December 2002) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Pineto. Career Early career Lombardi began his youth career at hometown club Ancona, before leaving the club in 2017 following the club's disestablishment. After brief experiences with Chievo and Fano, Lombardi moved to Recanatese in summer 2018 on a free transfer. Following his first-team debut on 17 February 2019, Lombardi became a starter for Recanatese in Serie D, playing six games in 2018–19. The following season, Lombardi played 16 games in the first half of the 2019–20 Serie D season. Monza On 2 January 2000, Lombardi joined Serie C side Monza. He made his professional debut on 27 October 2020, coming on as a substitute in a Coppa Italia third-round game against Pordenone; Monza won the match on penalties. Daniele Sommariva (born 18 July 1997) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Pescara. Coming through Genoa's youth sector, Sommariva started his senior career in 2016 at Nocerina in the Serie D, winning the honorific play-offs. In 2017 he moved to Bustese, before joining Monza in the Serie C, whom he helped gain promotion to the Serie B for the first time in 19 years. Sommariva joined Pescara in 2022. Coppa Italia Serie C
Coppa Italia Serie C ( it, Serie C Italian Cup), formerly named Coppa Italia Lega Pro, is a straight knock-out based competition involving teams from Serie C in Italian football first held in 1972. Format There are a total of six rounds in the competition. It begins in August with the first set, which is contested by 56 out of 60 teams. The other four clubs, which also play in Coppa Italia, join in during the second set. Each game is played as a single leg, except for the semi-finals and the final. If teams are tied (after single leg or on aggregate, no away goal rule applies), the winner is decided by extra-time and a penalty shootout if required. The 2021–22 Serie C is the eighth season of the unified Serie C division, the third tier of the Italian football league system. The Serie B (), currently named Serie Balkrishna Industries, BKT for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie A.
