Loïck Luypaert
Loïck Fanny Luypaert (born 19 August 1991) is a Belgian field hockey player who plays as a defender for Braxgata and the Belgian national team. He combines his sports career with an educational program of Movement Science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Club career Luypaert started playing hockey at Braxgata. Between 2007 and 2009, he was active in Royal Herakles HC, in 2009 he moved to the KHC Dragons. In 2011, he won the Golden Stick (in the category junior male players), a Belgian award for year's best field hockey player. In 2014, he transferred to Kampong in Utrecht. After one year, he returned to Braxgata. International career Luypaert became European champions with the Belgium U21 squad in 2012. He was selected for the 2012 Summer Olympics but was eventually omitted in the final selection. Edegem
Edegem (, first mentioned as ''Buizegem'' in 1173) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Edegem proper. In 2021, Edegem had a total population of 22,244. The total area is 8.65 km². The old Sint-Antoniuskerk (church of Saint Anthony) is no longer open to the public. It is not sure when it was first built (some sources go back as far as the 16th century). The absence of heavy industry makes Edegem a typical commuter town. Despite its location next to the metropolis of the city of Antwerp, Edegem is not fully urbanized. 2017 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The 2017 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the 16th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the EHF. It was held from 19 to 27 August 2017 in the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. The tournament also served as a qualifier for the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup, with the winner qualifying. The hosts and defending champions the Netherlands won their fifth overall title by defeating Belgium 4–2 in the final, while England captured third place by beating Germany 4–2. Boom, Belgium
Boom (, ; ) is a Belgian town, located in both the arrondissement and province of Antwerp. In 2021, Boom had a total population of 18,799. The total area is 7.37 km² (2.85 sq mi).
