''Loxocera aristata'' is a species of fly and member of the family Psilidae The Psilidae are family of flies. Commonly called the rust flies, at least 38 species are in four genera. Description ''Loxocera aristata'' can reach a length of . These flies have a dark, slender body. Head is black, thorax is black anteriorly and orange-brown posteriorly, while the abdomen is black.
