Low Wee Nee, also known as Weenee Low (born 9 January 1992 in Penang) is a Malaysian professional squash player. As of February 2018, she was ranked number 97 in the world. Weenee reached her highest world ranking of 74 in the women's professional tour at the age of 16. Upon graduating high school, Weenee decided to pursue her studies at Trinity College, USA where she majored in B.S Psychology and minored in Studio Arts. While thriving in her studies, Weenee accomplished a record of 41-9 in her college career, including winning the National Championship for Trinity College. Her awards and accolades include winning the CSA All American Mention (2012-2013), All- NESCAC 1ST Team (2012-2013), All- NESCAC 2nd Team (2010-2011) and James Belfiore award for overcoming adversity and inspiring teammates. The Official Women's Squash World Ranking is the official world ranking for women's squash. The ranking is to rate the performance level of female professional squash player. It is also a merit-based method used for determining entry and seeding in women's squash tournaments. The rankings are produced monthly. The current world number one is Nouran Gohar of Egypt, who replaced Raneem El Welily in July 2020. The WISPA, the WSA and the PSA has used a computerized system for determining the rankings since April 1984. PSA ranking policy Players competing in PSA tournaments earn ranking points according to how far they get in the draw. The points available depend on the prize money and the draw size. Low Wee Wern (; born 25 July 1990 in Penang, Malaysia) is a Malaysian professional squash player. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 5 in October 2014. Personal life Low attended Methodist Girls' School, Penang for her primary school years before moving to Sri Pelita for her secondary school years. She also has a sister Low Wee Nee who was a professional squash player. Career Low began playing squash at the age of nine based at the Penang International Squash Centre in Bukit Dumbar, Penang. Between 2001 and 2006, Low won 19 Junior titles including U19 Asian Junior and Pioneer Cup titles in 2006. In 2010, she was part of the Malaysian team that won the bronze medal at the 2010 Women's World Team Squash Championships.
