The Low Countries derby ( nl, Derby der Lage Landen, french: Derby des Plats Pays), is the name given in Association football, football to any match between Belgium national football team, Belgium and the Netherlands national football team, Netherlands. The history of the Belgium national football team officially dates back to their first international in 1904. The Royal Belgian Football Association, which governs the team, co-founded the international governing bodies FIFA (in 1910) and UEFA (in 1954). The FIFA World Cup, often simply called the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' ( FIFA), the sport's global governing body.
