Loverman
__NOTOC__ "Loverman" is the second single from the album '' Let Love In'' by Australian rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The song was also performed by American heavy metal band Metallica on their 1998 cover album ''Garage Inc.'' and Depeche Mode's Martin Gore in his 2003 solo album ''Counterfeit²''. Details Cave said, ""Loverman" was a song we almost didn't do because it seemed like a very weak idea at the time of recording. It was supposed to be just a throwaway song about desire. I was squirming about how banal it was. I changed the whole atmosphere, so the guy who's the telling the story is weak and dysfunctional. I put in the bits where I spell out loverman. It was a great surprise to everyone." Track listing CD / 12" # "Loverman" – 4:55 # "B Side" – 19:20 The back cover states: "'B Side' is a selection of largely improvised, ad-libbed pieces of music recorded direct to DAT by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds over the last couple of years." 7" # "Loverman" – 4:55 # ...

Counterfeit²
Counterfeit² is the first full-length studio album by Martin Gore, the primary songwriter for the band Depeche Mode, and his second release (his first being ''Counterfeit e.p.'' in 1989). Released April 28, 2003 in Europe and April 29, 2003 in the US, ''Counterfeit²'' is an album featuring 11 covers of songs that Gore considered influential to his own compositions for Depeche Mode. He recorded this album around the same time as David Gahan recorded his first solo album ''Paper Monsters'', after the '' Exciter'' tour was finished, and around the same time Andrew Fletcher produced Client's self-titled debut album. Counterfeit² is a very synth heavy album compared to Depeche Mode's prior two albums, ''Exciter'' and ''Ultra'', and includes a song sung completely in German ("Das Lied vom einsamen Mädchen"). Gore also went on a brief tour consisting of a few concerts in Europe and only Los Angeles in North America. Track listing CD: Mute / CDSTUMM214 (UK) #"In My Time of Dyin ...

Red Right Hand
"Red Right Hand" is a song by Australian rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It was released as a single from their eighth studio album, '' Let Love In'' (1994), on 24 October 1994. A condensed version was included in the single, while the longer version was included with the album. The title comes from John Milton's epic poem ''Paradise Lost'', in which it refers to the vengeful hand of God. The song has become one of Nick Cave's signature songs, being performed at most of his concerts; only " The Mercy Seat" has appeared in more of his live sets since 1984. It has since become best known for its use in the ''Scream'' film series and later as the theme song to the British crime drama series ''Peaky Blinders'', which resulted in the song receiving a re-release single in 2014. It has been covered by Arctic Monkeys, PJ Harvey, Iggy Pop, Jarvis Cocker and Snoop Dogg, among others. In 2005 Cave guested on his former girlfriend Anita Lane's cover of the song. Background Th ...

Garage Inc
''Garage Inc.'' is a compilation album of cover songs by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released on November 24, 1998, through Elektra Records. It includes cover songs, B-side covers, and ''The $5.98 E.P. - Garage Days Re-Revisited'', which had gone out of print since its original release in 1987. The title is a combination of ''Garage Days Revisited'' and Metallica's song "Damage, Inc.", from ''Master of Puppets''. The album's graphical cover draws heavily from the 1987 EP. The album features songs by artists that have influenced Metallica, including many bands from new wave of British heavy metal, hardcore punk bands and popular songs. Production The day after Metallica finished the North American leg of the Poor Re-Touring Me Tour in San Diego's Coors Amphitheatre, they hit the studio to start recording a new album of cover versions. As Lars Ulrich explained, the band wanted to do something different after "three pretty serious albums in a row, starting with the ...

Martin Gore
Martin Lee Gore (born 23 July 1961) is an English songwriter, musician, singer, record producer and DJ. He is one of the founding members of the electronic rock band Depeche Mode and is the band's main songwriter. He is the band's guitarist and keyboardist, and occasionally provides lead vocals. Gore possesses a tenor singing voice which contrasts with Dave Gahan's dramatic baritone. He is also known for his flamboyant and (sometimes) androgynous stage persona. Gore has also released several solo albums and collaborated with former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke as part of VCMG. Gore's songs include themes such as sex, religion and politics. He has said he feels lyrical themes that tackle issues related to solitude and loneliness are a better representation of reality, whereas he finds "happy songs" fake and unrealistic. At the same time, he asserts that the band's music contains "an element of hope". In 1999, he received the Ivor Novello Award from the British Academy of S ...
