Loveridge began as on the northwest corner of Lake Miccosukee. In 1956, Love acquired an additional of Sunny Hill Plantation (northern section in map) from the estate of New Jersey Governor Walter E. Welaunee Plantation was a large quail hunting plantation located in central Leon County, Florida, Leon County, Florida, United States established by Udo M. Fleischmann. History Welaunee Plantation was created from land that once belonged to several cotton plantations and smaller farms. Known plantation lands that were purchased were R. A. Whitfield's The House Place Plantation, the southern tract of the James Kirksey Plantation, and Joseph John William's La Grange Plantation. In 1952, Udo Fleischmann died leaving the property to his wife. Under Mrs. Fleischman, the property was used for Hereford cattle. In 1962, Mrs. Fleischmann died and her nephew, John W. Mettler, Jr. of New Brunswick, New Jersey and son of John Wyckoff Mettler the founder and president of Interwoven Stocking Company. Mettler increased the size of stock cattle to 500 head. Foshalee Plantation
Foshalee Plantation was a large quail hunting plantation located in northern Leon County, Florida, United States. History First called Incochee, it was purchased in 1824 by Hezekiah and Ann Graham Ponder. Hezekiah and Ann are buried in a cemetery near U.S. 319. During the antebellum years the land was owned by John Miller and totaled . During the 1890s, the very wealthy Hanna family, owners of the M. A. Hanna Company, had been visiting Thomasville, Georgia regularly like many northern wealthy people. During the latter 1890s, the Hannas' crossed the Florida border and began purchasing land in Leon County. Sydney E. Norias Plantation is a small quail hunting plantation located north of Lake Miccosukee in northeastern Leon County, Florida, United States. The land for Norias was sold by Colonel Lewis S. Thompson of Sunny Hill Plantation to Walter E. Edge, Governor of New Jersey and his hunting companion and longtime friend, Walter C. Teagle, Chairman of The Board of Standard Oil Company of New Jersey just after World War I.
