Annette Lovemore is a South African politician for the Democratic Alliance (South Africa), Democratic Alliance (DA), and the mayoral committee member (MMC) of infrastructure and engineering in the Nelson Mandela Bay coalition government that took office in 2016. She previously served as a DA Member of Parliament of South Africa, Parliament between 2009 and 2016. Early life Annette Lovemore was born on 20 December 1958. Tayla Lovemore (born 20 March 1995), is a South African swimmer who specializes in women's butterfly events and freestyle relay. She competed in the women's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. Recruited to swim at Indian River State College, Lovemore received the 2016 NJCAA Women’s Swimmer of the Year award during her graduating year. Lovemore Madhuku
Lovemore Madhuku is a Zimbabwean politician and democracy activist who is best known for being one of the founding members of the National Constituent Assembly or NCA, a pro-democracy group. An active civil society worker, Madhuku served as NCA's President from 2001 to 2011. During his tenure as the President, he aimed at bringing forth a new autonomous constitution in Zimbabwe that would get rid of the one-party rule of Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe since 1987. The highlight of his career came when the NCA successfully defeated a constitution introduced by Mugabe in the national referendum in 2000. Ever since Madhuku has been trying to bring to an end the autocratic rule and establish a democratic constitution in Zimbabwe. Lovemore Tshuma (born 1954), commonly known as Lovemore Majaivana is a Zimbabwean musician, arguably the most popular Ndebele singer, and by far the most prominent to have come out of Gweru. He earned the stage name 'Majaivana' (which means good dancer) for his exceptional dancing. Biography Early life and career Lovemore Tshuma gave birth to Majaivana in Gwelo (now Gweru). At the age of four, Majaivana's family moved to Bulawayo where he sang in the church choir where his father was minister. By the age of 15 he became a drummer in a local Bulawayo band, the Hi-Chords. Charles Lovemore Mungoshi (2 December 1947 – 16 February 2019), was a Zimbabwean writer. Life and career Mungoshi was born on 2 December 1947 at Manyene, near Chivhu (Zimbabwe). He was educated at St Augustine's, Penhalonga. After leaving school, he worked with the Forestry Commission before joining Textbook Sales in Harare. From 1975 to 1981 he worked at the Literature Bureau as an editor and then moved to the Zimbabwe Publishing House. Works and recognition Mungoshi's works include short stories and novels in Shona and English. He also wrote poetry, but viewed it as a "mere finger exercise". He had a wide range, including anti-colonial writings and children's books. While the colonial regime initially banned his work he eventually wrote about post-colonial oppression as well.
