Samuel Loveman
Samuel E. Loveman (January 14, 1887 – May 14, 1976) was an American poet, critic, and dramatist probably best known for his connections with writers H. P. Lovecraft and Hart Crane. Early life and career He spent the first 37 years of his life in Cleveland. He worked first as a cost accountant. Between 1905 and 1908 he published many poems, and again between 1919-26 in such amateur journals as ''Clevelander'', ''Cartoons'', ''Sprite'', ''The National Amateur'', and ''The United Amateur.'' In 1918 he was drafted and spent the next year and a half at Camp Gordon, Georgia. Bronchial trouble, bad eyesight and heart trouble prevented him from being sent overseas. Upon his return to Cleveland he was unemployed for some years. Around this time he met Hart Crane and became closely associated with the 'Hart Circle'.S.T. Joshi. Gary Loveman
Gary William Loveman (born April 12, 1960) is an American economist, businessman, and former academic professor. After nine years on the faculty of Harvard Business School, he left in 1998 to become COO of Harrah's Entertainment, which, following a number of acquisitions, became Caesars Entertainment. He was the CEO of Caesars Entertainment Corporation for 12 years until stepping down on June 30, 2015, amidst a bankruptcy and restructuring. He remained chairman until late 2017. He was then president of Aetna’s Consumer Health and Services division from October 2015 until January 2018. In 2019, he co-founded digital health engagement platform Well. Loveman is known for the development and application of analytics to influence customer behavior, and is a minority owner of the Boston Celtics. David Bernard Loveman Noa (5 October 1878 – 26 October 1901) was an officer in the United States Navy. He was killed while on duty in the United States' newly acquired overseas territory of the Philippines. He is the namesake for two United States Navy destroyers. Biography He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the Jewish immigrants, Ismar Noa (1836–1906) of Breslau, Prussia, (now Wrocław, Poland), and Rose B. Loveman (1842–1923) of Hungary. His siblings were Ernestine Noa (1871–1951); Bianca Noa (1874–1945) who married Albert Hodges Morehead, Sr. (1852–1922); and Wallace Noa (1876–1908). His maternal uncle was David Barnard Loveman, who had moved to Chattanooga and started the Lovemans department store. Robert Loveman
Robert Loveman (April 11, 1864 – July 10, 1923) was an American poet. Born to a Jewish family in Cleveland, Ohio, he was educated at the Dalton Academy in Dalton, Georgia, later attending the University of Alabama where he received his A.M. Loveman lived with Friedman relatives at the Battle Friedman House while attending the University of Alabama. It was during this time he lived there that he wrote his famous "Rain Song" poem, inspired by the gardens surrounding the house. Loveman lived in Dalton for much of his life, "Encyclopedia of Southern Jewish Communities - Dalton, Georgia," Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life, accessed April 19, 2019. and wrote much of his verse there.
