Love And Hate (psychoanalysis)
Love and hate as co-existing forces have been thoroughly explored within the literature of psychoanalysis, building on awareness of their co-existence in Western culture reaching back to the “odi et amo” of Catullus, and Plato's ''Symposium''. Love and hate in Freud’s work Ambivalence was the term borrowed by Sigmund Freud to indicate the simultaneous presence of love and hate towards the same object. While the roots of ambivalence can be traced back to breast-feeding in the oral stage, it was re-inforced during toilet-training as well. Freudian followers such as Karl Abraham and Erik H. Erikson distinguished between an early sub-stage with no ambivalence at all towards the mother's breast, and a later oral-sadistic sub-phase where the biting activity emerges and the phenomenon of ambivalence appears for the first time. The child is interested in both libidinal and aggressive gratifications, and the mother's breast is at the same time loved and hated. While during t ...

Ambivalence
Ambivalence is a state of having simultaneous conflicting reactions, beliefs, or feelings towards some object. Stated another way, ambivalence is the experience of having an attitude towards someone or something that contains both positively and negatively valenced components. The term also refers to situations where "mixed feelings" of a more general sort are experienced, or where a person experiences uncertainty or indecisiveness. Although attitudes tend to guide attitude-relevant behavior, those held with ambivalence tend to do so to a lesser extent. The less certain an individual is in their attitude, the more impressionable it becomes, hence making future actions less predictable and/or less decisive. Ambivalent attitudes are also more susceptible to transient information (e.g., mood), which can result in a more malleable evaluation. However, since ambivalent people think more about attitude-relevant information, they also tend to be more persuaded by (compelling) attitude-rel ...

Love & Hate (song)
"Love and Hate" is a song by Ryuichi Sakamoto featuring the former Frankie Goes to Hollywood singer Holly Johnson on vocals. Released as a single in 1994 from Sakamoto's album '' Sweet Revenge'', the song was written by Sakamoto and Johnson. It reached No. 97 in the UK charts. A music video was filmed to promote the single. Johnson came to work with Sakamoto due to his links with Frankie Goes to Hollywood's manager, Bob Johnson, who, at the time, was the manager of Roddy Frame, a friend of Sakamoto. Critical reception Upon its release as a single, Simon Williams of ''NME'' wrote, "Sadly, Ryuichi — Mr 'Merry Christmas' himself — is unable to help. Firstly because this is a woeful wander wherein guest howler Holly Johnson makes out like Vincent Price. Secondly because this is a song about all the really really bad things in the world, a theme which fits none too easily with the sleeve shots of Ryuichi dressed as Sesame Street ''Sesame Street'' is an American educatio ...

Aero Chord
Alex Vlastaras (; born 8 November 1991), commonly known by his stage name Aero Chord, is a Greek electronic trap producer. He is mostly known for his songs within the trap genre, but has also delved into other music genres. History Aero Chord began his career in 2011. In his interview in 2013 with Your EDM, Vlastaras spoke on the origins of the name Aero Chord, stating "Well, my name wasn't something easy to decide on. It took me at least 2 months of looking through name generators and combining their outputs endlessly until something good and meaningful and unique came up. When I saw Aero Chord it just clicked I guess. I started producing at the age of 14 I think, inspired by a cousin of mine who was making Goa and psy-trance back then and who helped me through my first steps with Reason. I've never DJ'ed much in my life before Aero Chord, I just knew I have to go through productions first to gain some recognition so I saw no point in it." Career Vlastaras has released his musi ...

Ping Pung
Ping Pung is a Hong Kong-based Cantonese pop-rock group. Gathered by Gold Label in Summer of 2003, the group consists of four members: Kary Ng as the lead singer, Jan and Jerry Lee (who are the younger brothers of the renowned local composer Mark Lui as well as the members of band Online) and DJ Tin "Tim" Ho. Three of the members were of other bands originally. At the same time, Kary Ng was the lead vocalist of Cookies, another Hong Kong band under the same company. The band name, which is Ping Pung, has no particular meaning and it is only for fun, as they are to be known for the creativity in music. "Ping Pung" does not represent any Chinese characters. As with many Chinese rock bands, the band takes an indie approach by producing all of their songs, as well as controlling all elements of the creative process, including the arrangement, melody and lyrics (written by Jan and Jerry). Jan and Jerry also produce and write lyrics for other artists. In early 2006, after Cookies di ...

Love & Hate (Section 25 Album)
''Love & Hate'' is the fourth studio album by Blackpool band Section 25 which was released in 1988 on Factory Records. Release Despite being recorded and finished by 1986, Factory Records didn't release the album until 1988. The label also mishandled the launch of the album's first single: : The single (FAC 157) did not appear until May 1987 and was marred by a further disaster. Priming a joke that misfired badly, Factory's publicists informed trade paper ''Music Week'' that the new SXXV single was a cover of a 1965 hit - "Good News Week" - by industry pundit Jonathan King. King's publishers Jonjo wasted no time in claiming that the Section 25 composition was an unauthorized pastiche of the earlier song and that the first five lines of the lyrics infringed the copyright. The dispute was swiftly settled by the MCPS, but not before all copies of FAC 157 had been recalled by the distributor, and Section 25 was obliged to sign over 100% of the publishing to Jonjo Music and Jon ...
