''Love the Woman'' is the fifth solo album by singer Chanté Moore. It was released by Peak Records on June 17, 2008 in the United States. Her debut with the label, it marked her first release without husband Kenny Lattimore as a duet partner since the release of her 2000 album ''Exposed''. Moore reunited with producer George Duke and consulted Raphael Saadiq and Warryn Campbell to work with her on ''Love the Woman'' with the result that it encompasses contemporary R&B, jazz, and pop, and also finds Moore personalizing songs by two past artists, including Minnie Riperton and Nancy Wilson. ''Love the Woman'' spawned the single "It Ain't Supposed to Be This Way" which peaked at number 21 on ''Billboard''s Adult R&B Songs chart. Chanté Torrane Moore (born February 17, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter, actress, television personality, and author. Rising to fame in the early 1990s, Moore established herself as an R&B singer. Her debut studio album '' Precious'' was released in 1992. The album was certified gold by the RIAA on November 14, 1994, in the United States, spawning such R&B hits as " Love's Taken Over" and " It's Alright". Murray Grand (August 27, 1919 – March 7, 2007) was an American singer, songwriter, lyricist, and pianist best known for the song "Guess Who I Saw Today". Born in Philadelphia, Grand played piano as a teenager. During World War II, he served as an infantryman in U.S. Army and played piano accompaniment for USO Tour stars including Gypsy Rose Lee and Betty Grable. After the war, Grand studied piano and composition at the Juilliard School and worked as a cabaret performer in New York City.
