Love Story (Yelawolf Album)
''Love Story'' is the third studio album by American rapper Yelawolf. It was released on April 21, 2015, by Interscope Records, Shady Records and Slumerican. The album was described by Yelawolf as a more passionate album than his debut album. Recording process took place primarily in Nashville, Tennessee from 2012 to 2015. The production on the album was handled by Yelawolf himself, along with Eminem (who also served as the executive producer), Malay and WLPWR, among others. The album was influenced by aspects of country and rock. ''Love Story'' was supported by five singles: " Box Chevy V", "Till It's Gone", " Whiskey in a Bottle", "American You" and " Best Friend" featuring Eminem. ''Love Story'' received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the album's emotional feel as well as its ambition and production, but criticized its length. Michael Wayne Atha (born December 30, 1979), better known by his stage name Yelawolf, is an American rapper. Born in Alabama and raised in Tennessee, he embarked on his career independently in 2005, releasing one extended play (EP) and four mixtapes until 2010. It was not until 2010's ''Trunk Muzik'' EP that Yelawolf started to gain mainstream attention, culminating with Yelawolf signing a deal with Interscope Records. ''Psycho White'' is a collaborative EP by American drummer Travis Barker and rapper Yelawolf. It was released on November 13, 2012, under LaSalle Records and Killer Distribution. The first single of the EP, "Push 'Em" was released as a free download via Yelawolf's Twitter page and on numerous hip hop websites on September 12. The artwork was released the same day as well as a behind-the-scenes video of how the artwork was created. Yelawolf and Travis Barker broke down the meaning behind their project track-by-track with Sean Lynch of The Source Magazine. Part 1 also saw Yelawolf and Travis Barker hinting at a possible sequel and Warped Tour dates.
