Love Story (Andy Williams Album)
''Love Story'' is the twenty-seventh studio album by American pop singer Andy Williams that was released on February 3, 1971, by Columbia Records. This was another in his series of cover albums, but the title track, subtitled " Where Do I Begin", was the one song included that he originated. The album made its first appearance on the Top LP's chart in the issue of ''Billboard'' magazine dated February 20, 1971, and remained there for 33 weeks, peaking at number three. One month later, on March 22, the album received Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, and Platinum certification was awarded on November 21, 1986. For its release in the UK, the album was entitled ''Home Lovin' Man'' and did not include the title song from the original album (which was subtitled " Where Do I Begin?"), and this retitled edition entered the UK album chart on March 27, 1971, and spent two weeks at number one during its 26 weeks there. ''Andy Williams' Greatest Hits'' is a compilation album by American pop singer Andy Williams that was released in early 1970 by Columbia Records. It was not, however, as its title might suggest, strictly a hit singles compilation, although some of his biggest songs since joining Columbia (such as the easy listening number ones "Can't Get Used to Losing You" and " Happy Heart") were included. A couple of selections ("Born Free" and " More") were never released as singles by Williams, and his signature song, " Moon River", was released in the 7-inch single format but only for jukeboxes. Somos Novios (It's Impossible)
"Somos Novios" (Spanish for "We Are Lovers") is a song first recorded by Mexican songwriter Armando Manzanero in 1968. Originally a French song " J'ai le mal de toi", different versions with unrelated lyrics in different languages have been written and recorded. Perry Como recorded an English version of "Somos Novios" with original English lyrics titled "It's Impossible", which was a top 10 hit in the US and the UK. Bernard John Taupin (born 22 May 1950) is an English songwriter, singer and visual artist. He is best known for his long-term collaboration with musician Elton John, a songwriting partnership that is one of the most successful in history. Carl Sigman (September 24, 1909 – September 26, 2000) was an American songwriter. Early life Born in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York to a Jewish-American family, Sigman graduated from law school and passed his bar exams to practice in the state of New York.
