Jean Seberg
Jean Dorothy Seberg (; ; November 13, 1938August 30, 1979) was an American actress who lived half of her life in France. Her performance in Jean-Luc Godard's 1960 film ''Breathless'' immortalized her as an icon of French New Wave cinema. Seberg appeared in 34 films in Hollywood and in Europe, including '' Saint Joan'', '' Bonjour Tristesse'', '' Lilith'', '' The Mouse That Roared'', '' Breathless'', '' Moment to Moment'', '' A Fine Madness'', '' Paint Your Wagon'', ''Airport'', '' Macho Callahan'', and '' Gang War in Naples''. Seberg was among the best-known targets of the FBI's COINTELPRO project. Her targeting was in retaliation for her support of the Black Panther Party, a smear directly ordered by J. Edgar Hoover. Seberg died at the age of 40 in Paris, with police ruling her death a probable suicide. Christian Marquand
Christian Marquand (15 March 1927 – 22 November 2000) was a French actor, screenwriter and film director. Born in Marseille, he was born to a Spanish father and an Arab mother, and his sister was film director Nadine Trintignant. He was often cast as a heartthrob in French films of the 1950s. Career Marquand's first film appearance was in 1946, as a footman in Jean Cocteau's ''Beauty and the Beast'' (''La Belle et la Bête''). After a few more small parts, he was prominently featured in Christian-Jaque's '' Lucrèce Borgia'' (1953) as one of Lucrezia's lovers, and as an Austrian soldier in Luchino Visconti's '' Senso'' (1954). In 1956, he was directed by Roger Vadim in '' And God Created Woman'' (''Et Dieu... créa la femme'') opposite Brigitte Bardot. Françoise Prévost (actress)
Françoise Prévost (13 January 1930 – 30 November 1997) was a French actress, journalist and author. She was the daughter of writer Marcelle Auclair. She appeared in more than 70 films between 1949 and 1985. Life and career Prévost was born and died in Paris, France. She made her film debut at 18, in ''Jean de la Lune''. After several minor roles she emerged with the Nouvelle Vague, with roles of weight in films by Pierre Kast, Jean-Gabriel Albicocco and Jacques Rivette. Starting from 1960s she was also pretty active in the Italian cinema, starring in leading roles in dramas, comedies and genre films. In 1975 Prévost gained critical appreciation and commercial success as an author, with an autobiographical book about her struggle against an incurable disease, ''Ma vie en plus''.
