Love Moves
''Love Moves'' is the seventh studio album by English pop singer Kim Wilde, released in May 1990 by MCA Records. This was the first album by Wilde to yield no top 40 hit singles in the UK; "Time", the second release from the album, was the lowest charting single in her discography at that time. Five singles in total were released across Europe, with "It's Here", the album's lead single, becoming a top 20 hit in Scandinavian countries and "Can't Get Enough" making a top 20 entry and long run on the French singles chart. The album attempted to capitalize on the success of Wilde's previous album, ''Close'' (1988), but although a top 10 album in Scandinavian countries, it failed to sell as strongly as its predecessor. Some critics noted the MOR feel of the album and the use of similar production sounds throughout. It includes guests Jaki Graham, who contributed backing vocals, and Deon Estus, playing bass guitar. "World in Perfect Harmony" is the fifth and final single from the ''Love Moves'' album by Kim Wilde, released only in continental Europe. The album version was used as the 7" A-side, although on some issues it is incorrectly stated that a remix appears. A remixed and extended version of the song was issued on the 12" and CD single format (though not in France). A remix of the previous single "Can't Get Enough (Of Your Love)" was used as the B-side (edited for the 7" single). "World in Perfect Harmony" was not a chart success. Steven Nicholas Jolley (born April 1950) and Tony Swain (born 20 January 1952, London, England) were a successful songwriting and record production duo in the United Kingdom in the early to mid-1980s, producing some of the top artists and songs of the era. Career The pair met in 1975 when Swain was working as a television cameraman on ''The Muppet Show'', where Jolley was sound technician and sometimes boom operator. They formed the band Chaser in 1975 with Richard Palmer (rhythm guitar and percussion), Nick Adams (lead guitar), Ray Bailey (bass) and Brian Grant (drums). Chaser released the single "Red Rum" (1975), written by Jolley, Palmer and Swain, on Polydor as a tribute to the famous racehorse. Following her hit version of "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love" with David Grant in 1985, Graham scored a further five UK top 20 hits over a two-year period. Middle of the road (also known by its acronym MOR) is a commercial radio format and popular music genre. Music associated with this term is strongly melodic and uses techniques of vocal harmony and light orchestral arrangements. The format was eventually rebranded as soft adult contemporary.
