Jerry Peters
Jerry Peters is an American songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, conductor and arranger. He is best known for writing the hit songs "Love Or Let Me Be Lonely" and "Going In Circles" by The Friends of Distinction. Career Peters was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but was reared in Slidell, Louisiana. At the age of 14, Jerry moved to Los Angeles, California, where he attended Susan Miller Dorsey High School. Upon graduating he then attended Los Angeles City College as an art major, while continuing to take music classes. He then transferred to the California Institute of Arts but left school just short of getting his degree to enter the music business. During his college years, Peters met Anita Poree and her brother Greg Poree. They started writing songs together. This collaboration between Jerry and Anita Poree would become the R&B pop classic "Going in Circles", which was performed by The Friends of Distinction. This became Peters' first gold record. Howard Huntsberry
Howard Stafford Huntsberry (born March 5, 1952) is an American Rhythm and blues, R&B singer, drummer/percussionist, and actor from Pacoima, California. Biography In the mid-1970s, he served as drummer and male co-lead vocalist of the one-off project, The Ultimate Music Experience (T.U.M.E.), who released a self-titled album in 1975. In 1981, he became the frontman for the group Klique, a position he held through 1985, when the group released its final album. In 1988, he released a solo album, ''With Love'', which produced two minor hits on the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, R&B chart. He also starred as singer Jackie Wilson in the movie ''La Bamba (film), La Bamba'', singing a cover of "Lonely Teardrops" which was on the soundtrack album of the same. Deniece Williams (born June Deniece Chandler; June 3, 1951) is an American singer. She has been described as "one of the great soul voices" by the BBC. Melvin M. Ragin (December 8, 1950 – October 24, 2018), known professionally as "Wah Wah Watson", was an American guitarist who was a member of The Funk Brothers, the studio band for Motown Records. Jeffrey Thomas Porcaro (; April 1, 1954 – August 5, 1992) was an American drummer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work with the rock band Toto but is one of the most recorded session musicians in history, working on hundreds of albums and thousands of sessions. While already an established studio player in the 1970s, he came to prominence in the United States as the drummer on the Steely Dan album ''Katy Lied''. "Keni" Burke (born September 28, 1953) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist who began his career with four siblings in the 1970s band the Five Stairsteps.
