Prior to the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Tsotyli, of which it was a municipal district. Western Macedonia (, ) is one of the thirteen Regions of Greece, administrative regions of Greece, consisting of the western part of Macedonia (Greece), Macedonia.
