Louisville Coal Miners
The Louisville Coal Miners were a minor league baseball team based in Louisville, Colorado. In 1898, the Coal Miners briefly played as members of the Colorado State League, hosting home games at the Athletic Grounds. Louisville folded during the 1898 season. Independent Baseball League
An independent baseball league is a professional baseball organization in the United States or Canada that is not overseen by Major League Baseball and is outside the Minor League Baseball clubs affiliated to it. The Northern League and Frontier League both started play in 1993, and the Northern League's success paved the way for other independent leagues like the Texas-Louisiana League and Northeast League. Ralph Glaze
Daniel Ralph Glaze (March 13, 1881 – October 31, 1968) was an American sportsman and coach who played as a right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball, and later became a college football, football and baseball coach and administrator at several colleges. Early life and playing career Glaze was born in Denver, Colorado, and was recruited by Dartmouth College after displaying his skill in two sports. He played football at the University of Colorado in the 1901 season under coach Fred Folsom, a Dartmouth alumnus who became that school's coach in 1903. Glaze enrolled at Dartmouth in 1902, being followed there by his younger brother, John. Under Folsom, he played a notable role in the school's first-ever football victory over Harvard Crimson football, Harvard in 1903, a game in which Harvard dedicated its Harvard Stadium, new stadium.
