Louise Wüste or Wueste, née Heuser (6 June 1805, Gummersbach - 25 September 1874, Eagle Pass, Texas) was a German-American portrait artist; associated with the Düsseldorfer Malerschule. The Witte Museum was established in 1926 and is located in Brackenridge Park in San Antonio, Texas. It is dedicated to telling the stories of Texas, from prehistory to the present.
