Louise Patricia Crane (born 8 December 1984) is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter and visual artist. She is known for her unique blend of romantic escapism and dreamlike progressive rock, leading to music journalist Dom Lawson dubbing her "The new queen of psychedelic prog". Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Crane began her career in music fronting gothic rock band Solemn Novena in 2006, with whom she gained a small following and performed on both of their releases. In 2016 she joined The Eden House and debuted on their 2017 album ''Songs for the Broken Ones''. Crane made her solo debut in 2020, with the album ''Deep Blue'' which included contributions from progressive rock veterans Jakko Jakszyk and Ian Anderson, and Fireball Ministry bassist Scott Reeder. ''Deep Blue'' is the debut solo album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Louise Patricia Crane, released on 15 May 2020 by Peculiar Doll Records. The album project began following the recording of The Eden House's third studio album ''Songs for the Broken Ones'' in 2017, in which Crane first met founding member and producer Stephen Carey. For the album, Crane brought in progressive rock veterans Jakko Jakszyk (King Crimson) and Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull (band), Jethro Tull), the first time the pair have performed together. The front cover is a photograph taken by Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick (artist), Jim Fitzpatrick, known for creating album covers for the band Thin Lizzy and his iconic two-tone portrait of Che Guevara created in 1968. Michael "Jakko" Jakszyk (born Michael Lee Curran, 8 June 1958) is an English musician, record producer, and actor. He has released several solo albums as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist and has been the lead singer for King Crimson since 2013. His work has been variously credited to "Jakko", "Jakko Jakszyk", and "Jakko M. Jakszyk". Before joining King Crimson, he led bands for over thirty years, including 64 Spoons, Dizrhythmia, 21st Century Schizoid Band, Jakszyk Fripp Collins, and Rapid Eye Movement. Scott Thomas Reeder (born May 16, 1965) is an American musician best known as the former bass player of stoner rock bands Across the River, Kyuss and The Obsessed, as well as the current bass player for Fireball Ministry. History Scott Thomas Reeder was born in Pomona, California. In 1990 when Scott "Wino" Weinrich reformed The Obsessed, Reeder joined on bass and recorded two albums with the band including the landmark 1991 album ''Lunar Womb''. Reeder left The Obsessed in 1992, and joined stoner rock band Kyuss who were without a bassist after the departure of Nick Oliveri. Reeder remained with Kyuss until they disbanded in 1995. After the breakup of Kyuss, Reeder auditioned for Tool but lost out to Justin Chancellor. Record Store Day is an annual event inaugurated in 2007 and held on one Saturday (typically the third) every April and every Black Friday in November to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store".
