Louis Robitaille (ice Hockey)
Louis Robitaille (born March 16, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward who concluded his playing career with of the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League. Playing career As a youth, Robitaille played in the 1996 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Châteauguay, Quebec. While playing junior ice hockey, he took classes part-time at McGill University, majoring in French Literature. Signed as a free agent in 2003 by the Washington Capitals, Robitaille played on the 2005–06 Calder Cup-winning Hershey Bears. Robitaille made his debut with the Bears on Oct. 8, 2005 against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He scored his first goal for Hershey on Nov. 19, 2005 against Philadelphia and picked up a game-winning goal Nov. 25, 2005 at Norfolk. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League, and are the AHL affiliates of the National Hockey League's Pittsburgh Penguins. Valleyfield Braves (defunct)
Les Braves de Valleyfield are a Junior ice hockey team from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada. They were a part of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League for 25 seasons. Another franchise relocated and took over their market and former moniker in 2014. History The Valleyfield Braves is the second team to bear this name. The first Braves team was formed in 1944 as a Senior Amateur hockey team in the Quebec Provincial Hockey League, then moved to the Quebec Senior Hockey League in 1945 and finally as a Minor League team with the Quebec Hockey League from 1953 to 1955. The current Valleyfield team won their first league championship in 1999. The Braves advanced to the Fred Page Cup in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH, ''"North American Hockey League"'') is a low-level professional ice hockey league based in the Canadian province of Quebec. The Saint-Hyacinthe Chiefs was a semi-pro ice hockey team based in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, which is now defunct. The team was part of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH).
