Louis Frederick Kihneman
Louis Frederick Kihneman III (born February 17, 1952) is an American prelate of the Catholic Church. He has been serving as bishop of the Diocese of Biloxi in Mississippi since 2017. Biography Early life Louis Kihneman was born on February 14, 1952, in Lafayette, Louisiana. He attended the University of St. Thomas in Houston, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in religious education and theology. He then attended St. Mary's seminary in Houston. Kihneman was ordained to the transitional diaconate on March 26, 1977. Priesthood On November 18, 1977, Kihneman was ordained by Bishop Thomas Joseph Drury to the priesthood for the Diocese of Corpus Christi at the Corpus Christi Cathedral. Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Corpus Christi Cathedral is a cathedral church located in Corpus Christi, Texas, United States. It is the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi. History St. Patrick's Cathedral In the early years of Corpus Christi, priests would come from as far away as Laredo and Victoria to minister to the pastoral needs of the Catholics in the area. Because there was no church building Mass was celebrated in private homes. The Rev. Bernard O'Reilly was assigned by Bishop Jean-Marie Odin of Galveston to be the first pastor in Corpus Christi. Mass was being celebrated in a small adobe church by 1855, two years before the structure itself was completed. The property on which the church was built was bounded by Leopard, Tancahua, Antelope and Caranchua Streets. It had been donated by H. L. Kinney. George Floyd
George Perry Floyd Jr. (October 14, 1973 – May 25, 2020) was an African-American man who was murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during an arrest made after a store clerk suspected Floyd may have used a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill, on May 25, 2020. Derek Chauvin, one of the four police officers who arrived on the scene, knelt on Floyd's neck and back for 9 minutes and 29 seconds which caused a lack of oxygen. Joseph Richard Kopacz (born September 16, 1950) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church, serving as bishop of the Diocese of Jackson in Mississippi since 2014. Early life and education Joseph Kopacz was born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. He is the son of Stanley and Carmella Calomino Kopacz. Diverticulitis
Diverticulitis, specifically colonic diverticulitis, is a gastrointestinal disease characterized by inflammation of abnormal pouches—diverticula—which can develop in the wall of the large intestine. Symptoms typically include lower abdominal pain of sudden onset, but the onset may also occur over a few days. There may also be nausea; and diarrhea or constipation. Fever or blood in the stool suggests a complication. Repeated attacks may occur. The causes of diverticulitis are unclear. Risk factors may include obesity, lack of exercise, smoking, a family history of the disease, and use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Alice is a city in, and the county seat of, Jim Wells County, Texas, United States, in the South Texas region of the state. The population was 19,104 at the 2010 census. Alice was established in 1888. First it was called "Bandana", then "Kleberg", and finally "Alice" after Alice Gertrudis King Kleberg, the daughter of Richard King, who established the King Ranch.
