Louis De Jager
Louis de Jager (born 30 March 1987) is a professional golfer from South Africa playing on the Sunshine Tour. De Jager was born in Duiwelskloof, Northern Transvaal. He won the South African Amateur Championship in 2007 in both the stroke play and match play format. In 2007, de Jager also won the Gauteng North Etonic Open and the Boland Open. He turned professional in 2008. De Jager played his first full season on the Sunshine Tour in 2008. He played in 17 events and recorded five top-10 finishes. He won his first professional tournament in August 2009 at the Suncoast Classic. Duiwelskloof
Modjadjiskloof, formerly Duiwelskloof, is a small town situated at the foot of the escarpment in the Limpopo province of South Africa. The village is 18 km north of Tzaneen. Surveyed in 1919 and proclaimed in 1920, it was administered by a village management board. The Sunland Baobab tree, that was located nearby, lost a large chunk of its main stem early in 2017 and the rest of the tree fell into pieces in April 2017. The town was named in honour of the Modjadji or Rain Queen Queen Modjadji, or the Rain Queen, is the hereditary queen of Balobedu, a people of the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Daniel van Tonder (born 12 March 1991) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the Sunshine Tour. Professional career Van Tonder turned professional in 2011 and played on the Sunshine Tour. He has won seven times on the tour; including twice in 2014, at the Investec Royal Swazi Open and the Vodacom Origins of Golf at Euphoria. He also won the Mopani Redpath Greendoor Logistics Zambia Open in 2019. In 2020, he won 4 tournaments on the Sunshine Tour in the space of 3 months. The South African PGA Championship is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments on the Sunshine Tour. It is generally played in February, depending on the Tour Schedule, with a prize fund of 2 million rand, and is currently held at Eye of Africa Signature Golf Estate in the Johannesburg suburb of Eikenhof. History The current South African PGA Championship was founded in 1965, largely thanks to Gary Player and Brian Henning. The inaugural event was held in February 1965 and was won by Harold Henning who beat Player by 3 strokes. Breyten is a small farming town in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It is situated at the foot of ''Klipstapel'', the highest point on the watershed between the westward-flowing Vaal River system and the eastward-flowing Olifants and Komati River systems.
