Louis-Daniel Perrier
Louis-Daniel Perrier (1818–1903) was a Swiss architect from Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He was born in Paris although he was originally from the towns of Sainte-Croix and Orges in Switzerland. He studied art in Paris and Berlin before moving to Neuchâtel in 1848. He was the architect for the government of the Canton of Neuchâtel between 1849 and 1863. In 1864 and until 1867, he was construction director for the city of Neuchâtel. He constructed Philippe Suchard's house, the church of Les Brenets, the primary school "Le Collège de la Promenade" in Neuchâtel, and restored the castles of Neuchâtel and Cormondrèche among other works. He was married to Cécile Dardel and is the father of the Federal Councillor Louis Perrier. Raymonde Berthoud
Raymonde Berthoud (24 November 1919 – 27 May 2007) was born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland and was the fourth of Henri Berthoud and Marianne Perrier's five children. She was the sister of Jean-Louis Berthoud, Jean-Louis and Denise Berthoud, granddaughter of Jean-Edouard Berthoud, great-niece of Louis Perrier and great-granddaughter of Louis-Daniel Perrier. She is the first Swiss citizen to have ever earned the Swiss Abroad Prize for her huge contribution to her country's image. She hid Jews during the Second World War from the Gestapo in Budapest and also worked during six years in Budapest for the Swiss Red Cross delegation. Berthoud was given the title of honorary president of the Swiss Club in Hungary. In 1998 she was honored for her lifetime achievements when she received the Officer's Cross of the Republic of Hungary from Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Denise Berthoud
Denise Berthoud (27 September 1916 – 26 February 2005) was born in Neuchâtel and was the third of Henri Berthoud and Marianne Perrier's five children. She was the sister of Raymonde Berthoud, granddaughter of Jean-Edouard Berthoud, great-niece of Louis Perrier and great-granddaughter of Louis-Daniel Perrier. In 1942 she finished her studies in law and actuarial science at the University of Neuchâtel. As a lawyer, Berthoud sat at the board of directors of the Swiss insurer Altstadt Compagnie d'Assurances SA between 1959 and 1986. In 1958 she was associate at the Swiss Association for Women having graduated from Universities (l'Association Suisse des Femmes Diplômées des Universités) and president of the Swiss Exposition for Working Women (SAFFA). Frédéric-François-Louis Perrier (22 May 1849 – 16 May 1913) was a Swiss politician and member of the Swiss Federal Council (1912–1913). , he is the member with the shortest time in office (14 months). Biography Perrier was born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He was the uncle of Denise and Raymonde Berthoud and was the eldest child of architect Louis-Daniel Perrier and Cécile Dardel.
