Lou Zocchi
Louis Zocchi is a gamer, gaming hobbyist, former game distributor and publisher, and maker and seller of polyhedral game dice. In 1986, he was elected to the Charles Roberts Awards Hall of Fame. Career Lou Zocchi was one of the first editors for Avalon Hill's magazine, ''The General (magazine), The General'', and a regular contributor during its first 11 years of publication. He also playtested such early wargames as ''Bismarck (board game), Bismark'', ''Afrika Korps (game), Afrika Korps'', ''Jutland (board game), Jutland'', ''Stalingrad (wargame), Stalingrad'', and a number of titles Avalon Hill did not publish. Gen Con
Gen Con is the largest tabletop game convention in North America by both attendance and number of events. It features traditional pen-and-paper, board, and card games, including role-playing games, miniatures wargames, live action role-playing games, collectible card games, and strategy games. Gen Con also features computer games. Attendees engage in a variety of tournament and interactive game sessions. In 2019, Gen Con had nearly 70,000 unique attendees. Zocchihedron
Zocchihedron is the trademark of a 100-sided die invented by Lou Zocchi, which debuted in 1985. Unlike other polyhedran dice, it takes the appearance of a ball with 100 flattened planes. It is sometimes called "Zocchi's Golfball". Zocchihedra are designed to handle percentage rolls in games, particularly in role-playing games. Holly Springs is a city in, and the county seat of, Marshall County, Mississippi, United States, near the southern border of Tennessee. Wee Warriors Ltd. was a game company formed shortly after the birth of role-playing games (RPGs) in the mid-1970s to publish RPG accessories. ''Star Fleet Battle Manual'' is a 1977 miniatures game published by Gamescience. It was designed by Lou Zocchi and Michael Scott Kurtick. It was based on elements from the Star Fleet Technical Manual and licensed from the author, Franz Joseph Schnaubelt. Gamescience also released several plastic and metal miniatures based on the ships used in the game. Gameplay ''Star Fleet Battle Manual'' is a miniatures game where the players are in control of one or more starships, playable on any large flat surface.
