''Lotte and the Moonstone Secret'' ( et, Lotte ja kuukivi saladus) is a 2011 Estonian animated film directed by Heiki Ernits and Janno Põldma. It is the third installment in the Lotte film series. The film's characters first appeared in '' Lotte's Journey South'' ( et, Lotte reis lõunamaale), an Estonian animated TV series, containing 13 five-minute episodes. In 2006, the animated feature film '' Lotte from Gadgetville'' was released. Heiki Ernits (born 24 March 1953) is an Estonian animator, illustrator, and film director. He graduated from the Tallinn Pedagogical Institute as a teacher of arts and crafts. He has created 19 animated films and illustrated over 30 children's books. He has received 6 Nukits Awards. With Janno Põldma Janno Põldma (born 7 November 1950 in Tallinn) is an Estonian film director and children's writer. Since 1973 he has worked in Tallinnfilm Studio. Hannes Kaljujärv (born on 4 January 1957 in Tartu) is an Estonian actor. In 1979 he graduated from the University of Tartu with a degree in physical education ( et, kehakultuuriteaduskond).
