"Lost Girls" is the sixth episode of the first season of The CW television series, ''The Vampire Diaries'' and the sixth episode of the series overall. It originally aired on October 15, 2009. The episode was written by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec and directed by Marcos Siega. Plot The episode starts from exactly where the previous episode ended where Elena ( Nina Dobrev) asks Stefan ( Paul Wesley) what he is. Before Stefan gives her an answer, there is a flashback to 1864 and we see Katherine and Stefan meet. Back in 2009, Stefan admits that he is a vampire and Elena freaks out running away even though Stefan tries to explain. He follows her to her home to promise he will not hurt her and he lets her know that he drinks animal blood and it was Damon (Ian Somerhalder) who killed all those people. Elena is still freaked out though and she asks him to leave. Damon is at the cemetery trying to cover his tracks after killing Vicki's (Kayla Ewell) friends. He calls Stefan ask ... Zachary George Roerig (born February 22, 1985) is an American actor, known for his roles as Casey Hughes on ''As the World Turns'', Hunter Atwood on '' One Life to Live'' and Matt Donovan on ''The Vampire Diaries''. Early life Roerig was born in Montpelier, Ohio, to Andrea (b. 1963-2020) and Daniel Roerig (1961-2007). He has a younger sister, Emily, who was born in 1989. Roerig attended the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Cleveland and went on to participate in the International Modeling and Talent Association where he signed with his late talent manager. He graduated from Montpelier High School where he was both a football player and a wrestler. Anberlin is an American alternative rock band formed in Winter Haven, Florida in 2002. The Temper Trap are an Australian indie rock band formed in 2005 by Dougy Mandagi, Jonathon Aherne, and Toby Dundas. In 2008, the group relocated from Melbourne to London.
