Losing Feeling
''Losing Feeling'' is an EP by Southern Californian noise rock band No Age released by Sub Pop. It was made available for full streaming on August 5, 2009 and became available physically on October 6. The EP saw the band experimenting more with sample-based arrangements (created by looping heavily treated vocal or guitar parts) and electronic instrumentation. In comparison to their last effort '' Nouns'', guitarist Randy Randall commented that the band was writing, "a little bit more left-field than some of the songs that were on the album." All of the songs that appear on the EP were written at the band's practice space, with "Genie" being recorded there. No Age is an American noise rock duo consisting of guitarist Randy Randall and drummer/vocalist Dean Allen Spunt. The band is based in Los Angeles, California, and was signed to Sub Pop records from 2008 to 2013. No Age's fourth studio album, ''Snares Like a Haircut'', was released by Drag City on January 26, 2018. Drag City also released ''Goons Be Gone'', their fifth studio album, on June 5, 2020. History Formation, EPs, and ''Weirdo Rippers'' No Age formed in December 2005 out of the ashes of their previous band, Wives (band), Wives, in which Spunt played bass and sang and Randall played guitar. Gil Kenan (October 16, 1976) is a British–American film director, film producer, screenwriter, and animator. Early life Kenan was born in London to a Jewish family. When Kenan was three, his family Aliyah, immigrated to Tel Aviv, Israel. He has one brother. At age eight, Kenan and his family once again moved to Reseda, Los Angeles. Kenan studied at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, film division of the University of California, Los Angeles where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree in animation in 2002. ''The Bear'' is a 1988 French adventure film, adventure children's film, family film directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud and released by TriStar Pictures. Adapted from the novel ''The Grizzly King'' (1916) by American author James Oliver Curwood, the screenplay was written by Gérard Brach. Lee Mark Ranaldo (born February 3, 1956) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, guitarist, writer, visual artist and record producer, best known as a co-founder of the alternative rock band Sonic Youth (guitar and vocals). Sonic Youth
Sonic Youth was an American rock band based in New York City, formed in 1981. Insound was a discounted, online music store. Insound carried CD, vinyl, hard to find items, music accessories and merchandise. The company was located in New York, New York. History Insound was founded in 1998 by Christian Anthony, Matt Wishnow and Ari Sass. Wishnow and Sass had worked together at Elektra. The site took six months to build and first launched on March 1, 1999. Noise Rock
Noise rock (sometimes called noise punk) is a noise music, noise-oriented style of experimental rock that spun off from punk rock in the 1980s. Drawing on movements such as minimal music, minimalism, industrial music, and New York hardcore, artists indulge in extreme levels of distortion through the use of electric guitars and, less frequently, electronic instrumentation, either to provide percussive sounds or to contribute to the overall arrangement. Some groups are tied to song structures, such as Sonic Youth.
