Miguel Morayta
Miguel Morayta (15 August 1907 – 19 June 2013) was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He directed 74 films between 1944 and 1978. At the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, Morayta was a Spanish artillery officer, who joined the Republican side. After Francisco Franco's victory, he left Spain for France and Africa, finally arriving in Mexico in 1941, where he started his career. He was living in Mexico when he died aged 105. Roberto Gómez Bolaños (21 February 1929 – 28 November 2014), more commonly known by his stage name Chespirito, or "Little William Shakespeare, Shakespeare", was a Mexican actor, comedian, screenwriter, humorist, director, producer, and author. Gaspar Henaine
Gaspar Henaine (6 January 1927 – 30 September 2011), more commonly known by his pseudonym Capulina, was a Mexican comedian, actor, singer, film producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for partnering with Marco Antonio Campos as the double act Viruta and Capulina and for his subsequent solo career. He was later given the nickname "''El Rey del Humorismo Blanco''" (The King of White Humor), due to his clean, innocent style of comedy. Early life Capulina was born in Chignahuapan, Puebla, the son of Antonio Henaine Helú, a Lebanese businessman, and Concepción Pérez de León (c. 1893 – 27 February 1983), who was also born in Chignahuapan. Fanny Cano Damián (28 February 1944 – 7 December 1983) was a Mexican actress and producer. Death Cano died on 7 December 1983, in an airplane accident in Madrid, Spain. Her flight was an Iberia 727 which was about to take off for Rome in connection to final destination India, at the same time as an Aviaco DC 9 was leaving to Santander. The aircraft collided with each other on the runway resulting in 93 deaths. She was killed in the fire after the crash. Her spouse, Sergio, was scheduled to be on the flight, but was called away on business at the last moment and was not on board. A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception). Comedy is one of the oldest genres in film and it is derived from the classical comedy in theatre. Viruta y Capulina ( en, Viruta and Capulina), performed by Marco Antonio Campos and Gaspar Henaine, were a Mexican double act featured in film, television, theatre, radio, and comic books from 1956 to 1966. Career Viruta and Capulina's first feature film, ''Se los chupó la bruja'', was shot in 1957 and released the following year by Películas Nacionales. Upon viewing the film for the first time during a private screening, Capulina said that he felt "desolate" and told his wife that he would "never again work in film." However, the film was successful at the box office; screening in theaters for eight weeks. The films of Viruta and Capulina were often associated with "bad quality" films and television programs. In response, Capulina admitted that he and Viruta never had "the slightest freedom to choose the screenplays."
