Los Náufragos
''The Shipwrecked'' ( es, Los náufragos) is a 1994 Chilean drama film directed by Miguel Littín. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. Plot Aron is an exiled Chilean whose father has died during his years of absence, and whose brother is one of the thousands of 'disappeared'. Aron, back in his country, feels like a castaway lost in a place he doesn't recognize, trying to understand what happened to his family and to the country he once knew. Miguel Ernesto Littin Cucumides (born 9 August 1942) is a Chilean film director, screenwriter, film producer and novelist. He was born to a Palestinian father, Hernán Littin and a Greek mother, Cristina Cucumides. Career Miguel Littin directed ''El Chacal de Nahueltoro'' (1969) becoming a figure of the New Latin American Cinema. Littin was exiled in México shortly after Augusto Pinochet came to power in a military coup, which ousted President Salvador Allende, on September 11, 1973. His 1973 film '' The Promised Land'' was entered into the Cannes Film Festival, New York film festival and the 8th Moscow International Film Festival. Tennyson Ferrada
Alfred Tennyson, 1st Baron Tennyson (6 August 1809 – 6 October 1892) was an English poet. He was the Poet Laureate during much of Queen Victoria's reign. In 1829, Tennyson was awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal at Cambridge for one of his first pieces, "Timbuktu". He published his first solo collection of poems, ''Poems, Chiefly Lyrical'', in 1830. Valentina Vargas (born December 31, 1964) is a Chilean actress. She began, and spent most of her career working in France. Biography Vargas began her career in the dramatic arts by joining the workshop of Tania Balaschova in Paris and later at the Yves Pignot School in Los Angeles. Her cinematographic career started with the filming of three works in contemporary French cinema, specifically Pierre Jolivet's ''Strictly Personal'' (1985), director Luc Besson's '' Big Blue'' (1988) and Jean-Jacques Annaud's ''The Name of the Rose'' (1986).
