Española Valley High School
Española Valley High School (EVHS) is a Title-1 public senior high school of the Española Public Schools District, located in Española, New Mexico. Nearly 3/4 of the student body is made up of Hispanic students. The school is located within the city limits in Fairview, a small suburb community in the southern part of Rio Arriba County. EVHS also serves the communities of Alcalde, Velarde as well as the northern part of Santa Fe County, including Chimayo, Santa Cruz, and Sombrillo. In the year 2000 the district had a total of 16 schools with approximately 6,103 students. In the 2011–2012 school year, the district had an enrollment of 4,970. Currently there are 10 elementary schools,a kindergarten center, a middle school, and a high school. Los Luceros Hacienda, in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico near Los Luceros, New Mexico, is a historic site which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The hacienda property adjoins, or is close to, the Rio Grande. It is on a private road about off County Route 41This may be, or have formerly been New Mexico State Road 389, which is mentioned in the NRHP nomination document. History "Los Luceros is one of the most complete 19th century haciendas in northern New Mexico. The historic ranch complex includes five contributing buildings: a large, two-storied, double-galleried house in the American plantation style, a Late Victorian cottage, a chapel, a flat-roofed building said to have been used for a time as a jail, and a guest house." The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. Area Code 505
North American area code 505 is a New Mexico telephone area code which was one of the original area codes established in October 1947. Until October 7, 2007, it covered the entire state of New Mexico. It serves the northwestern and central portions of the state, including the Albuquerque metropolitan area, Gallup, Santa Fe, and Farmington. Due to the increasing demand for new numbers, area code 505 was split on October 7, 2007. Northwestern and central New Mexico continued to be served by the 505 area code, while the remainder of the state switched to area code 575.
