The album was produced by Cordovan hitmaker Queco, who had written and produced many hits of the time, notably " Aserejé", and mastered in New York. It was meant to be Melody's "first disc of maturity". One music video, for the first single titled "Te digo adiós", was shot. The album debuted at number 96 in Spain for the week of 8 June 2004, re-entering for a single week more on the chart, at number 70, two weeks later. Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez (born October 12, 1990), best known by her stage name Melody, is a Spanish singer. Melody became famous at the age of 10 with her song "El baile del gorila", one of the biggest summer hits of 2001 in Spain. She has released six albums and numerous singles. Early life Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez was born on October 12, 1990, in Dos Hermanas, a city near Seville, Andalusia. Her family has strong ties to music; her father and some other family members played in a Sevilla fiesta band called Los Quillos or Los Kiyos, a Jackson 5-like group of child singers. Rumba flamenca, also known as flamenco rumba or simply rumba (), is a ''palo'' (style) of flamenco music developed in Andalusia, Spain. It is known as one of the ''cantes de ida y vuelta'' (roundtrip songs), music which diverged in the new world, then returned to Spain in a new form. The genre originated in the 19th century in Andalusia, southern Spain, where Cuban music first reached the country. History Rumba flamenca was primarily influenced by guaracha, an uptempo style of vocal music which originated in Havana's musical theatre. Some elements from Cuban rumba were also incorporated, although minor, despite the name. Although unlikely, both guaracha and Cuban rumba might have been influenced by flamenco earlier in the 19th century.
